The Los Angeles County Surf Life Saving Association was formed in February, 2014 as a 501 (c) 3 non-profit organization. The primary purposes of the LACoSLSA are: (1) to promote and advance beach and open water safety education for open water lifesavers and other public safety personnel; and (2) to support programs, events and initiatives that foster public safety awareness and response in open water environments.
As LACoSLSA grows, we hope that it will be able to expand into a broad organization that can become an intimate partner with the community and provide a wider variety of ocean education, opportunities and experiences. Additionally, it is our intent to be transparent in our operations so that we can ensure trust from our supporters and a greater opportunity for those that want to contribute to its success.
If you would like to volunteer for an LACoSLSA committee and help set the direction for the organization, please send us an e-mail via the Contact Us page.
Note that every dollar donated to, or raised by, the LACoSLSA goes to furthering water safety awareness and the education of the public, beach patrons and our safety personnel.
Thank you for your generous support.
